She was given advice early in her career to “follow the research” which led her to explore the functional approach to medicine and health. Evelyn focuses on the prevention and maintaining control over chronic conditions, while working to improve them. Her goal is to assist individuals in achieving an optimal level of health and wellness throughout their life. As each patient is unique, she treats each individually. Her approach to patient care is centered in a holistic approach, using medications, and medical interventions as tools to achieve mutually agreed upon goals, with a strong emphasis on nutrition, lifestyle modification, behavior change, health education, and prevention.
She enjoys “walking her talk”, being active outdoors, walking her dogs, reading, practicing yoga, and spending time with family and friends. Traveling is also one of her passions, and the list of locations to visit is always expanding!
